WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Range Resources Corporation (RRC) Tuesday reported fourth-quarter profit of $28.17 million or $0.17 per share, down from $52.96 million or $0.32 per share in the same period last year.
Adjusted earnings for the quarter were $68 million or $0.42 per share. On average, 36 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.38 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenues decreased 7 percent to $428 million from $458.04 million last year. Adjusted revenues for the quarter were $461 million. Analysts expected revenues of $459.42 million.
