BEIJING (dpa-AFX) - Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (KTOS) reported a net loss for the fourth quarter of $7.4 million or $0.13 per share, compare to a net loss of $90.0 million or $1.59 per share for the year-ago quarter.
Loss from continuing operations for the fourth quarter was $6.9 million or $0.12 per share, compared to a loss from continuing operations of $91.1 million or $1.61 per share in the prior year quarter.
Excluding items, adjusted earnings from continuing operations for the latest quarter was $0.06 per share.
Revenue for the fourth quarter fell to $235.7 million from $263.6 million a year ago.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.06 per share on revenue o $251.73 million for the fourth quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said it continues to expect full year fiscal 2014 revenues of $920 million to $980 million, including $205-$220 million for the first quarter, $220-$235 million for the second quarter, $240-$255 million for the third quarter and $255-$270 million for the fourth quarter.
Analysts currently expect the company to post revenue of $972.03 million for the full year 2014.
