OSHAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 04/01/14 -- Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealers delivered 21,790 vehicles in March, an increase of nearly 8 per cent.
"Canadian retail sales for all four GM brands grew by double digits in March based on our continued relentless focus on designing, building and selling the world's best vehicles," said John Roth, vice-president of sales, service and marketing, GM Canada. "In March, compared to the prior year, retail sales for Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac increased by 12 per cent, 25 per cent, 10 per cent and 17 per cent, respectively."
March 2014 Sales Highlights
-- Sales of Chevrolet crossovers sales were up 36 per cent driven by sales of the Canadian-built Chevrolet Equinox, the city-sized Trax and the family-friendly Traverse -- Sales of the Buick Verano were up 40 per cent and Encore sales were up 24 per cent -- Retail sales of the GMC Sierra, the 2014 AJAC Best New Pick-up, were up 20 per cent for the month -- Cadillac retail sales increased by 17 per cent for the month, marking the 18th consecutive month of retail sales growth, driven by sales of the ATS
Total GM Canada sales were up 7.8 per cent in February 2014.
