WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Sigma Designs, Inc. (SIGM) Wednesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $1.3 million or $0.04 per share, compared to net loss of $35.2 million or $1.04 per share in the comparable quarter last year.
Adjusted net loss for the latest fourth quarter was $4.5 million, or $0.13 per share, narrower than $18.0 million, or $0.53 per share in the prior year quarter.
On average, two analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.01 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Meanwhile, quarterly revenues declined 12.9% to $38.50 million from $44.20 million last year, while two analysts expected revenues of $42.62 million for the quarter.
