WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Informatica Corporation (INFA) reported that its first-quarter GAAP net income increased to $24.9 million from $17.9 million, prior year. GAAP net income per share was $0.22, compared to $0.16. Non-GAAP net income was $39.5 million, or $0.35 per share, for the quarter.
On average, 22 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.34 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Total revenues were $243.1 million, an increase of 13 percent from $214.3 million in the first quarter of 2013. Analysts expected revenue of $242.37 million for the quarter. Software revenues were $103.0 million, an increase of 17 percent from $87.9 million in the first quarter of 2013.
