HONG KONG (dpa-AFX) - Japan will on Monday release March numbers for retail sales, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
Retail sales are expected to jump 6.0 percent on month and 10.8 percent on year after adding 0.3 percent on month and 3.6 percent on year in February. Sales from large retailers are tipped to surge an annual 13.8 percent after adding 1.3 percent in the previous month.
Hong Kong will provide March numbers for imports, exports and trade balance. In February, imports were worth 266.59 billion Hong Kong dollars, while exports were at 212.91 billion HKD for a trade deficit of 53.67 billion HKD.
