APIA, SAMOA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/28/14 -- H.E. Cary Lee Peterson, Chairman-Executive General of ECCO2 Global Partners has announced a new multilateral partnership agenda amongst major groups and stakeholders of Small Island Developing States taking affect as soon as May 2014 in efforts to broaden international supply chains and trading commerce between the Caribbean, Micronesia, Eastern Europe, Asia-Pacific region, Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and United States, which shall support Millennium Development Goals and the Post-2015 Development Agenda.
Mr. Peterson, comments, "The civil society groups of ECCO2 work better together as a unified team than separately. The multilateralism of civil society and intergovernmental affairs offer diversification to the stakeholders of our thematic missions on humanity, economy, and environment." Peterson also shares with the press the importance of communication on progress (COP) and sufficient maintenance of sustainable resources that influence streamlines of financial aid for programs that have been delayed or under-funded due to lack of financial support. There are currently six major groups consisting of civil society and non-governmental organizations within West Africa, Haiti, the Caribbean, Eastern Europe, and Micronesia, collectively referred to as ECCO2 Global Partners. Peterson has made multiple intervention statements this year at the United Nations on behalf of ECCO2, and its affiliate partners to support the humanitarian and diplomatic missions of United Island Nations Association (UINA) and voluntary partnerships for the 2014 Third International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS).
ECCO2 Global Partners' anticipation is to initialize a new trend for major groups to accelerate commerce and development of program platforms by furthering the organizing of awareness meetings and participation in delegations, workshops, and forums at the United Nations and European Union, in addition to maintaining robust lines of communication with the representatives and officials of Member States.
