WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - American States Water Company (AWR) reported first-quarter net income of $11.0 million, or $0.28 per share, compared to $13.5 million, or $0.35 per share, last year.
On average, four analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.34 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Total operating revenues decreased to $101.94 million from $110.55 million. Analysts expected revenue of $110.70 million for the quarter.
