WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ALNY) Thursday said first-quarter loss widened to $250.9 million or $3.70 per share from $9.0 million or $0.15 per share in the same period last year.
On average, four analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.54 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenues decreased to $8.3 million from $18.6 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $10.80 million.
