WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, Inc. (MDRX) reported that its first-quarter GAAP net loss widened to $21 million from a loss of $12 million, last year. Loss per share was $0.12 compared to a loss of $0.07. Non-GAAP net income was $12.0 million or $0.07 per share, for the quarter.
On average, 28 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.07 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenue was $340 million compared to $347 million in the first quarter of 2013. On a non-GAAP basis, first quarter 2014 revenue was $345 million compared to $348 million in the first quarter of 2013. Analysts expected revenue of $347.98 million for the quarter.
