WESTMONT, Ill., June 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --IlliniCare Health, a subsidiary of Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC), has unveiled a new brand identity, symbolized by the introduction of a new logo that signifies its growth and transformation. The new brand will serve to further emphasize IlliniCare Health's mission: providing better health outcomes at lower costs.
IlliniCare Health's new, progressive logo reflects the vibrancy and diversity of the organization, and a framework that focuses resources around IlliniCare Health's three core beliefs:
- Focus on individuals: we believe treating people with kindness, respectand dignity empowers healthy decisions and that healthier individuals create more vibrant families and communities.
- Whole health: we believe in treating the whole person, not just the physical body.
- Active local involvement: we believe local partnerships enable meaningful, accessible healthcare.
In another major change, the health plan will be called "IlliniCare Health" to simplify and align with how people most commonly refer to the organization.
The new logo, evocative of a three-dimensional heart, is a vibrant new take on IlliniCare Health's prior logo, which had represented the health plan since its debut in 2011. The refreshed logo, with its multiple color options and new, contemporary look, better reflects the dynamic and flexible nature of the health plan and the diversity of the communities it serves. The new logo's bold, active and welcoming shape symbolizes IlliniCare Health's commitment to the health and well-being of the communities it serves.
"This is a very important, exciting time for IlliniCare Health," said Jeff Joy, president and CEO of IlliniCare Health. "From the very beginning, we've focused on transforming the health of the community, one person at a time. Our new brand identity reflects our core values and supports our positioning within the market. Our commitment to building greater awareness for the important work we do will enable us to expand our efforts and promote healthy communities throughout Illinois."
