TOKYO (dpa-AFX) - Malaysia will release May numbers for consumer prices, setting the pace for a light day in Asia-Pacific economic activity.
Analysts are looking for an increase of 0.2 percent on month and 3.3 percent on year. That follows the flat monthly reading and the 3.4 percent increase in April.
The Philippines will provide current account data for the first quarter of 2014; in the previous three months, the current account surplus was $3.70 billion.
New Zealand will see May numbers for job ads and June results for the consumer confidence index from ANZ. Job ads were up 2.6 percent on month in April, while the ANZ index dipped 4.4 percent in May to a score of 127.6.
Japan will release convenience store sales figures for May; in April, sales dipped an annual 2.2 percent.
