An important part of the Putnam County Wine & Food Fest is giving back to the community. A portion of this year's proceeds will be going to support Hillside Food Outreach, a 501c3 not-for-profit, which exists to provide food to those in need throughout Westchester, Putnam Counties, and Western Connecticut. Founded by Executive Director Kathleen Purdy, it is their mission to deliver food to people who are, for whatever reason, unable to access local food pantries and to provide food bags for special needs diets, such as diabetes.
The Putnam County Wine & Food Fest is still accepting sponsorship, vendor and volunteer applications. More than 3,000 people attended last year's event, and the festival expects to keep growing with new products and offerings.
