TOKYO (dpa-AFX) - Australia will on Wednesday release Q2 numbers for consumer prices, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
Inflation is expected to rise 3.0 percent on year and 0.5 percent on quarter after adding 2.9 percent on year and 0.6 percent on quarter in the previous three months.
Singapore will see June figures for consumer prices, with forecasts suggesting a flat monthly reading and an increase of 2.5 percent on year. That follows the 0.5 percent monthly increase and the 2.7 percent annual gain in May.
Finally, all government offices and schools - and financial markets - in Taiwan will be closed on Wednesday because of Typhoon Matmo. They are hoped to re-open on Thursday.
