Rentrak Announces Worldwide Box Office Results for Weekend of July 27, 2014

LOS ANGELES, July 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --Rentrak Corporation (NASDAQ: RENT), the leader in precisely measuring movies and TV everywhere, today announced the worldwide weekend box office estimates for the weekend of July 27, 2014 as compiled by the company's Box Office Essentials® and International Box Office Essentials' theatrical measurement services.

Rentrak is the entertainment industry's premier provider of worldwide consumer viewership information, measuring movie and television content everywhere the consumer is watching including box office, multiscreen television and home video.

Rentrak's Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian commented, "'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' ruled the planet again this weekend in the international marketplace adding another $54.4 million from 59 territories for a global tally of $356 million.
