WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - California Water Service Group (CWT) Wednesday reported second-quarter profit of $17.2 million or $0.36 per share, up from $13.5 million or $0.28 per share in the same period last year.
On average, five analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.29 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenues increased to $158.4 million from $154.6 million last year.
