WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - YRC Worldwide Inc. (YRCW) reported a second-quarter net loss to shareholders of $4.9 million or $0.16 per share, compared to a loss of $15.1 million or $1.72 per share, a year ago.
On average, six analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss per share of $0.01 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Operating revenue increased to $1.32 billion from $1.24 billion, a year ago. Analysts expected revenue of $1.31 billion for the quarter.
