LINDALE, Texas, Aug. 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- JLCC, Incorporated, a Texas Combustion Company, is pleased to announce they have completed and passed the third-party Manufacturer's Performance Certification according to the EPA 40 CFR rigorous requirements on a much needed Emission Control Device (ECD) or vapor combustor from their Flame Commander product line you can see more about these products at www.combustionconsulting.com .
JLCC has developed the ECD (FC20) specifically to meet or exceed New Source Performance Standard Subpart OOOO (Quad O) regulation using Jerry Lang's next-level burner technology. The ECD is used on tank batteries storing oil/condensate and water that are currently emitting flash gas into the atmosphere. The design is patent-pending and can be custom sized.
JLCC's Global Combustion Consultant of over fifty years, Jerry Lang, says these combustors are just what is needed, not just another piece of equipment but a real combustion solution. Mr. Lang will be presenting his Sixty Years of Fuel Dilution Technology in September at the American Flame Research Council 2014 Combustion Symposium.
With current emission requirements continuing to be a problem for oil and gas field operations, and regulations being implemented, JLCC's Patent-Pending Flame Commander ECD's stand to be a necessity now and in the coming months and years with the regulation declaring combustion or capture of flash vapor from tanks batteries. Only complete combustion can achieve this.
John Huffhines, Chief Technology Officer at JLCC who has been part of the new development process, said, "I am confident that the new design will be appropriate to meet the needs that companies are faced with. Most of the ECD's I have seen have not been properly sized to handle the wide range of gas volumes from cold winter months to hot summer months." Huffhines said the problem with most of these products is the fact that while the weather is cold, small amounts of flash gas are emitted from these tanks, but when its 105 degrees outside in summer, larger quantities of gas will be emitted from the tanks.
JLCC has been providing advanced emission and combustion solutions such as Low NOx, Ultra-Low NOx, and Next Generation Ultra-Low NOx burners for refining process as well as flares and other combustion devices for many years, helping clients resolve combustion and emission issues and increase efficiencies.
