OTTAWA (dpa-AFX) - IAMGOLD Corp. (IAG) Wednesday reported second-quarter net loss attributable to company equity holders of $16.0 million or $0.04 per share, narrower than $28.4 million or $0.08 per share in the same period last year.
Adjusted earnings for the quarter were $8.8 million or $0.02 per share, down from $30.2 million or $0.08 per share in the year-ago period. On average, 11 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.03 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenues for the latest second quarter decreased to $288.6 million from $301.1 million last year, while three analysts expected revenues of $288.27 million.
