LONGUEUIL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwired) -- 08/14/14 -- D-BOX Technologies inc. (TSX: DBO) ("DBO" or the "Corporation"), a leader in innovative motion technology, is pleased to welcome three new directors to its Board, namely Louis Bernier, Pierre-Gabriel Cote and Sylvain Lafrance.
Louis Bernier is lawyer and partner at Fasken Martineau and specializes in labor law. He represents companies in all sectors of the economy. Bernier is listed in The Best Lawyers in Canada as a leading expert in labor and employment law and is also recognized by Lexpert for employment law (repeatedly recommended) and labor law (consistently recommended).
Pierre Gabriel Cote was president and CEO of Fibrek from 2008 to 2012, when the company was the subject of a takeover bid. He has held senior management positions with Bombardier Business Aircraft, Kruger, Rogers Sugar Income Fund, Abitibi Consolidated and Donohue. Currently, he serves as a member of the Centre de Commercialisation en Innovation Manufacturiere (Marketing Center for Innovation in Manufacturing).
Lastly, Sylvain Lafrance has held key positions with Societe Radio-Canada where, in particular, he successfully integrated radio, television and Internet services to create one of the largest French-language broadcasting groups. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Societe des Alcools du Quebec and the Square Victoria Group, and is Chairman of the Board at the Quebec Film and Television Council.
The Corporation also wishes to greatly thank outgoing director Jean Colbert for the important contributions he has made to the Board over the years. As a recognised operator of commercial theatres, D-BOX benefitted from his expertise and counsel allowing it to properly gain ground within this industry.
Moreover, all of the proposed nominees for the Board of Directors in the proxy circular dated July 16, 2014, were elected at the Corporation's annual meeting of the shareholders held last August 13 in Montreal.
