BEVERLY, MA and NIJMEGEN, THE NETHERLANDS--(Marketwired - October 02, 2014) - Alpaqua Engineering, LLC, a provider of innovative genomic tools and solutions, announces today it has entered into a non-exclusive distribution agreement with NimaGen, B.V., a leading provider of high quality, molecular biology products. In the terms of the agreement, NimaGen will distribute Alpaqua's full line of magnet plates and automation accessories in the European Union and certain neighboring countries.
The Alpaqua line of innovative 24-, 96-, and 384-well magnet plates contains patented spring cushion technology and unique magnet configurations that provide for superior, more rapid magnetic bead separations compared with standard magnet plates. Alpaqua magnet plates, including its latest addition, the Magnum' EX, a 96-well, universal magnet plate, are used by leading biotechnology companies and genome centers as an integral part of their magnetic bead-based nucleic acid isolation applications such as next generation sequencing (NGS), DNA and RNA extraction, sequencing and PCR clean up, and exome capture.
NimaGen is headquartered in Nijmegen, Netherlands, and is dedicated to delivering premium products to the European molecular biology and sequencing communities. Alpaqua magnet plates complement several key NimaGen products based on magnetic bead separation including the D-pure' DyeTerminator Removal Kit and AmpliClean' Magnetic Bead-based PCR Cleanup Kit.
