WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Cincinnati Financial Corp. (CINF) Tuesday reported third-quarter net income of $183 million or $1.11 per share, compared with $131 million or $0.79 per share in the third quarter last year.
Operating earnings for the quarter were $0.85 per share, up from $0.70 per share last year.
Total revenues grew to $1.28 billion from $1.15 billion last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.75 per share on revenues of $1.20 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
