PARIS (dpa-AFX) - French advertising giant Publicis Groupe SA (PUBGY.PK, PGPEF.PK) is reportedly in talks to acquire technology consulting company Sapient Corp. (SAPE).
According to a Wall Street Journal report, Paris-based Publicis Groupe is in talks to buy Sapient in order to transform into a digital-technology company quickly.
Boston, Massachusetts-based Sapient has a market capitalization of about $2.5 billion. The report, citing people familiar with the matter, said a deal could be announced as soon as Monday.
