It attracts 152 athletes from 17 countries. -- The global TV audience for this event exceeds 180 million and it is broadcast to more than 70 countries, making it the highest-profile alpine ski race in Canada. -- Sport Canada's Hosting Program is contributing $245,000 to Alpine Canada Alpin to assist in the hosting of the 2014 Lake Louise Winterstart World Cup. -- Sport Canada is providing up to $4,481,500 to Alpine Canada Alpin through its Sport Support Program for the fiscal year 2014-2015.
