CANBERA (dpa-AFX) - Japan will on Monday release final November numbers for industrial production, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
December's preliminary reading suggested a decline of 0.6 percent on month and 3.8 percent on year, while capacity utilization added 0.7 percent on month.
Japan also will see December results for its consumer confidence index, with forecasts suggesting a score of 38.5 - up from 37.7 in November.
Australia will see December numbers for new motor vehicle sales, as well as the inflation forecast from TD Securities.
Vehicle sales were down 0.6 percent on month and 3.8 percent on year, while inflation was forecast to have added 0.1 percent on month and 2.2 percent on year.
Hong Kong's monetary authority will wrap up its monetary policy meeting and then announce its decision on its benchmark interest rate - with no change expected at 0.38 percent.
Hong Kong also will see unemployment figures for December, with no change expected for the jobless rate at 3.3 percent.
