Agreement enables EFTPOS New Zealand to maintain dial network
Multi-channel payments solution provider EFTPOS New Zealand has migrated its Dial POS network to Transaction Network Services (TNS).
The agreement enables EFTPOS New Zealand, which was acquired by Verifone in 2013, to support the changing technology mix for payment acceptance in New Zealand and more quickly rollout its next generation of payment technologies.
EFTPOS New Zealand's payments infrastructure currently handles almost 100 million transactions a year from its 35,000 merchant customers across the country.
Peter Hansen, General Manager at EFTPOS New Zealand, said: "We are delighted to be using TNS and its resilient, managed payment network service to handle our Dial payments transactions in New Zealand. The switch has been exceptionally easy for us thanks to the talented team at TNS who has exceeded our expectations at every turn. The level of on-site support has been a huge benefit and ensured the move went as seamlessly as possible within the timeframe we agreed.
"The TNS network solution has also provided a range of additional functionality which we did not have before, adding monitoring and management capabilities to give us visibility and troubleshooting tools to manage to the edge of our fleet."
Network data generated by the TNS technology is fed directly into EFTPOS New Zealand's helpdesk operation, enabling it to proactively monitor its infrastructure and take action if needed.
Lisa Shipley, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Payment Network Solutions at TNS, said: "We're pleased to welcome EFTPOS New Zealand to our network. Our cutting edge technology allows us to relieve processors of the burden of building, maintaining and expanding their own network, enabling them to focus on their core objectives. We're proud to be able to help EFTPOS New Zealand maintain its dial network while it rolls out new technologies which will help it to meet merchant demand."
