WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Allergan Inc (AGN) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter net earnings of $537.2 million or $1.76 per share compared with $312.9 million or $1.04 per share last year.
Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $2.17 per share compared with $1.35 per share a year ago.
Revenues for the quarter were $1.91 billion compared with $1.68 billion in the prior year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $1.83 per share on revenues of $1.90 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Allergan has declared a fourth quarter dividend of $0.05 per share.
