WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - athenahealth, Inc. (ATHN) reported fourth-quarter net income of $8.73 million or $0.22 per share, compared to $13.15 million or $0.34 per share, prior year. Adjusted earnings per share was $0.58, for the quarter.
On average, 25 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.39 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenue increased to $213.21 million from $171.58 million last year. Analysts expected revenue of $207.83 million for the quarter.
For 2015, the company expects GAAP total revenue in the range of $905 to $925 million; and non-GAAP adjusted net income per share of $1.10 to $1.20. Analysts expect the company to report fiscal 2015 earnings per share of $1.27 on revenue of $916.60 million.
