WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Oceaneering International Inc. (OII) reported fourth-quarter net income of $102.47 million or $0.99 per share, compared to $93.43 million or $0.86 per share, prior year. The company said its quarterly earnings increased year over year due to profit improvements by Remotely Operated Vehicles, Subsea Projects, and Advanced Technologies.
On average, 21 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.99 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenue increased to $918.93 million from $894.80 million last year. Analysts expected revenue of $956.89 million for the quarter.
The company updated its 2015 EPS guidance to a range of $3.10 to $3.50. Analysts expect the company to report fiscal 2015 earnings per share of $3.92.
For the first quarter of 2015, the company estimates EPS of $0.58 to $0.62. Analysts expect the company to report first-quarter earnings per share of $0.90.
Oceaneering announced its Board declared a regular quarterly dividend of $0.27 per common share. The dividend is payable March 20, 2015 to shareholders of record at the close of business on February 27, 2015.
