WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Neenah Paper Inc. (NP) reported fourth-quarter income from continuing operations of $26.9 million or $1.57 per share, compared to $13.1 million or $0.78 per share, prior year. Adjusted earnings per share was $0.75, for the quarter.
On average, four analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.71 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Net sales increased to $216.6 million from $204.9 million last year. Analysts expected revenue of $222.13 million for the quarter.
