WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Southwestern Energy Co. (SWN) Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $312 million or $0.88 per share, up from $144 million or $0.41 per share last year.
Adjusted earnings for the quarter dropped to $0.52 per share from $0.54 per share last year.
Revenues for the quarter rose to $962 million from $907 million last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters projected earnings of $0.50 per share on revenues of $949.12 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
