NORTHBROOK, IL -- (Marketwired) -- 03/03/15 -- Each year, Renaissance Chicago North Shore Navigator, Elaine Raimondi, welcomes the spring season with open arms. Born and raised in Chicago, Elaine is all too familiar with winter's seemingly endless cold. And she knows that Chicagoans eagerly anticipate the opportunity to come out of hibernation and experience the best of what the North Shore of Chicago offers at this time of year. Elaine's personal travels throughout Europe and North America have only served to increase her passion for hospitality and the desire to show travelers what indigenous opportunities await their discovering both in Chicago and Chicago's North Shore.
A sure sign that spring has arrived, Elaine points to the Antique Garden & Design Show at the Chicago Botanic Gardens in April, located less than 2 miles away from the luxury hotel. Her personal favorites are the Rose and Japanese Gardens. "Seeing so many beautiful gardens and stylish objects coming to life truly invigorates one's spirit and stimulates the soul."
Elaine also enjoys uncovering local music talent and venues. Whether it's a LIVE at Renaissance performance in the hotel's own R Lounge, or at nearby SPACE in Evanston, you're sure to find her savoring the vibe.
Another of Elaine's favorite Chicago spring pastimes is the annual rebirth of Major League Baseball. An easy ride on the nearby Metra Rail System takes guests to Wrigley Field where they can watch the Chicago Cubs, or further south to US Cellular Field and the Chicago White Sox. Both teams have high aspirations for the 2015 season after a busy winter. "Nothing invigorates Chicagoans like a successful baseball season, and this year has the potential to keep both sides of the city glued to the action!"
