MOUNTAIN VIEW (dpa-AFX) - Fortune has once again named Google Inc. (GOOG, GOOGL) as the best company to work for, with Twitter Inc. (TWTR) also joining the annual list for the first time.
This is for the sixth time and for the fourth consecutive time that Google has ranked No.1 in the Fortune's annual list of '100 Best Companies To Work For.' Google ranked above 95 percent in each employee rating category, including great atmosphere, great rewards and great bosses.
About 16 new companies made debut to the list, including Acuity at No. 3, Twitter at No. 24, and Riot Games at No. 13.
This is the 18 annual list that Fortune has compiled in partnership with Great Place to Work. Fortune prepares the list by sending out detailed surveys to random employees of each company, which asks questions related to employees' attitudes about management's credibility, overall job satisfaction, and camaraderie.
In order to be on the list a company should be in business for more than five years and have at least 1,000 U.S. employees.
