BEIJING (dpa-AFX) - WuXi PharmaTech (Cayman) Inc. (WX) reported net income for the fourth quarter of $33.0 million or $0.46 per ADS, compared to $32.9 million or $0.45 per ADS for the year-ago quarter.
Excluding itesm, adjusted net income for the latest quarter was $39.7 million or $0.55 per ADS.
Fourth quarter net revenues increased 21.3% to $190.65 million from $157.17 million a year ago.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.53 per ADS on revenue of $189.54 million for the fourth quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Looking forward to the first quarter, the company forecasts net revenues of $173 million to $175 million, earnings of $0.20-$0.22 per ADS and adjusted earnings of $0.30-$0.32 per ADS. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $0.47 per ADS on revenue of $174.28 million for the first quarter.
For the full year 2015, the company forecasts net revenues of $790 million to $800 million, earnings of $1.31-$1.36 per ADS and adjusted earnings of $1.73-$1.78 per ADS. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $2.10 per ADS on revenue of $779.57 million for the full year 2015.
