Two world leaders in the diagnostic market are celebrating a partnership which has resulted in the design, manufacture and sale of 1000 Alegria® Series diagnostic instruments.
February, 2015 marked the milestone sale of the 1000th diagnostic instrument in the award-winning Alegria Series. After a partnership of ten years, BIT Group (a leading independent provider of contract services in the OEM high-end analytical and medical instrument segment) and ORGENTEC Diagnostika (a worldwide leading manufacturer within the diagnostic market for autoimmune diseases) are celebrating the development and sale of their 1000th Alegria instrument. This random access analyzer, based on SMC (Sensotronic Memorized Calibration) Technology, represents the newest dimension in the field of autoimmune diagnostics. The analyzer provides a fully automated process for the detection of autoantibodies with a degree of flexibility never before available. The fully automated analytical system can run more than 100 tests; each test run may include up to 30 patients with individual results delivered in only 90 minutes. The Alegria instrument has gained international recognition and has been awarded the Medical Design Excellence Award (MDEA) by UBM Canon.
According to Dr. Stephan Becker, COO from Orgentec, the 1000th Alegria instrument will be placed into a laboratory in Argentina. To commemorate the milestone, this instrument has been customized with a 1k commemorative airbrushed front cover distinguishing the achievement. In a partnership of ten years, with an agreed commitment for at least five more, the latest milestone signifies a successful union and continuous forward momentum toward progressive diagnostic advancement.
