TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 03/30/15 -- Partners Value Fund Inc. ("Partners Value Fund" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: PVF) today announced its financial results for the year ended December 31, 2014.
Partners Value Fund's net book value increased by $12.15 per share during the year to $37.51 per share due to increases in the market value of its long-term investment portfolio, namely its Brookfield Class A Shares.
Partners Value Fund recorded net income of $27 million ($0.36 per common share) for the year ended December 31, 2014 compared to $33 million ($0.44 per common share) in the prior year. The decrease in net income was primarily due to mark-to-market valuation losses within a subsidiary and lower equity accounted income which more than offset the increases in dividend income.
