CUPERTINO (dpa-AFX) - Apple Inc. (AAPL) has released four 'Guided Tour videos' on its website to showcase the exciting features of its new device, Watch. It is slated for pre-order on April 10 and will start shipping on April 24 to customers in nine countries, including Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, the UK and the US. The price for least expensive Apple Watch Sport starts at $349, while the luxurious gold edition price starts at $10,000.
Apple Watch works seamlessly with the iPhone. The screen will be activated on raising the wrist and the display will be switched off on lowering the wrist.
The Apple Watch comes with two important buttons on its side. The first button is the Digital Crown, a revolutionary input device as described by Apple. Turning the Digital Crown allows user to: navigate precisely; zoom in and out of photos, quickly scroll through lists, input data, or press it like a button to return to the Home screen. The Digital Crown also allows users to access Siri.
The second button on the Apple Watch allows users to connect with friends, or with people added through the Watch App on an iPhone. It can be used to make a call, send a message, or to send a Digital Touch to friends.
The pressure sensitive display, or the new technology called Force Touch, on the Apple Watch allows users to access additional controls. With Force Touch, pressing firmly on the screen brings up additional controls in apps like Messages, Music and Calendar. It also lets user to select different watch faces, pause or end a workout, search an address in Maps and more.
