MILPITAS (dpa-AFX) - Linear Technology Corp. (LLTC) reported net income for the third quarter of $135.2 million or $0.55 per share, compared to $117.6 million or $0.48 per share for the year-ago quarter.
Revenues for the third quarter rose 6.9% to $372.02 million from $348.01 million a year earlier.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.53 per share on revenue of $371.86 million for the third quarter.
Looking forward, the company forecasts sequential revenue growth of 2% to 5% for its fiscal fourth quarter.
