Mountain Cleantech AG: Mountain Cleantech Fund II invests in ASCON
Resource Management Holding GmbH, an experienced company in circular
economy

Investment in an innovative recycling and environmental services company

- Mountain Cleantech strengthens ASCON's equity base
- ELS Dual is an established dual system in Germany
- Investment supports future growth, expansion of material handling
activities and internationalisation
- sarbery.capital structured the transaction as lead arranger

Zurich / Luxemburg, 20. April 2015 - Mountain Cleantech, a leading
technology growth capital investor in the German speaking region, invests
in ASCON Holding, a fast growing company in the recycling economy and
operator of its own 'dual system' in Germany since 2014. Established in
Bonn in 2000, the group - active nationally and internationally - offers
environmental and waste management services, provides strategic and
sustainable material flow management as well as production, recycling and
trading with valuable secondary raw materials. Additionally, the company
consults national and international customers in recycling and waste
management issues.

The companies of the ASCON group have been active in the recycling economy
for 15 years. In September 2015, the ASCON Resource Management Holding GmbH
("ASCON Holding") was established in order to consolidate the group's
resources. In 2008, ELS Europäische LizenzierungsSysteme GmbH - a
subsidiary of ASCON Holding - started its activities in the area of
packaging licencing and after several successful years, the setup of its
own dual system was initiated and successfully completed, resulting in a
positive nation-wide notice of authorization in 2014. ASCON Group faces
attractive growth potential from an expected increase in recycling market
volume and expansion of its own secondary raw material handling and
distribution activities.

The additional capital helps ASCON Holding to strengthen its market
position, further improve the quality of its services, expand secondary raw
materials trading capabilities and accelerate internationalisation.

Alexander von Hutten, former manager at RWE Umwelt and today managing
partner at Mountain Cleantech AG comments: "We are impressed by the
strength and experience of ASCON's management team and its progress to
date. The business model is highly scalable and we see particular growth
potential within the firm's material handling business area. Our deep
industry knowhow and network should enable us to support the company as an
active sparring partner going forward."

"We are pleased to welcome Mountain Cleantech as a strong and competent
partner, who is focusing on growth and knows our industry", says Sascha
Schuh, CEO of ASCON Holding. "With the cooperation of our companies we will
further expand our market position in Germany and implement strategies to
explore additional business areas worldwide. Thanks to additional equity
funding, comprehensive knowledge and professional team support ASCON
Resource Management Holding will become an even more successful company."

The transaction was supported and lead arranged by Munich based advisor
sarbery.capital - assertive financial partners. Jan Rietzschel, former Head
of Corporate Finance at Constantin Medien AG and today Managing Director
and shareholder at sarbery.capital GmbH remarks: "We are pleased that we
were able to support ASCON group in this successful transaction and would
like to thank the whole consortium for a highly professional due diligence
phase. We would also like to thank Mountain Cleantech for their confidence
in us and wish them a successful future with ASCON group."
