BEIJING (dpa-AFX) - China Distance Education Holdings Ltd (DL) on Tuesday reported second-quarter net earnings of $1.2 million or $0.03 per American depositary share compared with $1.3 million or $0.04 per share last year.
Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.05 per share compared with $0.04 per share a year ago.
Revenues for the quarter were $22.3 million compared with $18.2 million in the prior year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.03 per share on revenues of $22.4 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
For the third quarter, the company expects revenues of $27.5 million to $28.7 million, while analysts expect $33 million.
For the full year 2015, the company now expects revenues of $116.6 million to $121.5 million, from prior guidance of $123.4 million to $128.3 million. Analysts expect revenues of $124.7 million.
