WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Fiber optic equipment maker Infinera Corp. (INFN) Wednesday reported second-quarter net income of $17.9 million or $0.13 per share, up from $4.8 million or $0.04 per share last year.
Adjusted earnings for the quarter rose to $0.18 per share from $0.11 per share last year.
Revenues for the quarter rose to $207.3 million from $165.4 million last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.16 per share on revenues of $201.27 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
