WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Ameriprise Financial Inc. (AMP) on Wednesday reported second-quarter net income of $415 million or $2.23 per share, up from $374 million or $1.91 per share last year.
Operating earnings for the quarter rose to $2.33 per share from $2.08 per share last year
Total revenues for the quarter rose to $3.13 billion from $3.07 billion last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $2.28per share on revenues of $3.11 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
