WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Verisk Analytics, Inc. (VRSK) Tuesday reported second-quarter net income of $163.3 million or $0.97 per share, compared to $88.1 million or $0.52 per share last year.
Adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.77 per share, compared to $0.57 per share last year.
Revenues for the quarter rose to $497.7 million from $423.6 million last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.66 per share on revenue of $483.41 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.
