Today, Airbus and Sopra Steria (Paris:SOP) announced that they have signed an agreement on Sopra Steria's acquisition of CIMPA, an Airbus subsidiary specialised in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) services.
CIMPA will join Sopra Steria on 1 October 2015.

I am certain that this transfer will provide CIMPA with new long-term development opportunities in the aeronautical field as well as a chance to diversify its markets," saidFabrice Brégier, Chairman and CEO of Airbus.
Pierre Pasquier, Chairman and founder of Sopra Steria added, "This acquisition will allow Sopra Steria to boost its position among major players in the world of aeronautics, in addition to those in industry, transport and energy, by capitalising on CIMPA's areas of expertise. This strategic move also strengthens the group's capacity to delve deeper into our clients' line of work and to assist them in their digital transformation.
CIMPA's activities will enter the Sopra Steria consolidation scope on 1 October 2015. The cost of the acquisition has not been publicly disclosed.
