SCHIPHOL-RIJK (dpa-AFX) - Airbus Defence and Space said Saturday that it has been informed that an Airbus CN235 aircraft with 11 Colombian military personnel on board was involved in an accident in Las Palomas (Cesar, Colombia), 31 July. The aircraft was operated by the Colombian Air Force, who confirmed that there were no survivors.
The CN235-200M was delivered in 1998 from the final assembly line in Seville (Spain) in a military transport configuration.
Airbus noted that there is no further information available at this stage.
'The thoughts of the company and its employees are with those affected by this accident.' Airbus said.
