WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Live Nation Entertainment (LYV) reported that its second-quarter adjusted operating income, or AOI, increased 6% to $151.2 million on a constant currency basis. AOI inclusive of Foreign Exchange impact was at $141.7 million.
Operating income was $48.4 million for the quarter at constant currency, down 13% from prior year. Operating income inclusive of Foreign Exchange impact was at $42.2 million.
Revenue increased 12% at constant currency to $1.86 billion. Revenue inclusive of Foreign Exchange impact was at $1.77 billion. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected revenue of $1.70 billion for the quarter.
Live Nation is confident that the company remains on track to deliver 2015 plan, and said all key leading indicators reinforce expectation of continued top- and bottom-line growth.
