TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 09/28/15 -- Harvest Portfolios Group Inc. (the "Manager") is pleased to announce that a preliminary prospectus for Global Aging Opportunities Growth & Income Fund (the "Fund") has been filed with, and a receipt therefor issued by, the securities regulatory authorities in each of the provinces and territories of Canada.
The Fund proposes to issue Units at a price of $10.00 per Unit (the "Offering"). The Fund's investment objectives are to provide unitholders with (i) the opportunity for capital appreciation; and (ii) quarterly cash distributions through exposure to an actively managed portfolio consisting primarily of global publicly traded equity securities of companies that the Investment Manager (as defined herein) believes will benefit from the aging of the population.
Amundi Canada Inc., a fully-owned subsidiary of Amundi S.A. (a corporation incorporated under French law), has been retained as the investment manager for the Fund (the "Investment Manager"). The Investment Manager has retained CPR Asset Management, a fully-owned subsidiary of Amundi Group, as sub-advisor for the Fund (the "Sub-Advisor").
The indicative distribution amount will be $0.10 per Unit per quarter ($0.40 per annum), representing an annual cash distribution of 4.0% based on the per Unit issue price.
The syndicate of agents for the Offering is being co-led by BMO Capital Markets, CIBC and Scotiabank, and includes National Bank Financial Inc., GMP Securities L.P., Canaccord Genuity Corp., Raymond James Ltd., Industrial Alliance Securities Inc., PI Financial Corp., Desjardins Securities Inc., Dundee Securities Ltd., Global Securities Corporation and Mackie Research Capital Corporation (collectively, the "Agents").
