SEATTLE, WA -- (Marketwired) -- 10/21/15 -- Social Venture Partners (SVP) today announced 14 finalists in its Fast Pitch social-impact innovation competition. The finalists are vying for more than $400,000 in grants, investments and prizes.
The finalists will present five-minute pitches before a panel of luminary judges and a crowd of approximately 1000 attendees who represent Puget Sound's top entrepreneurs, civic leaders and social change-makers. Since 2011, Fast Pitch has awarded approximately $1.2 million in grants, investments and prizes to social impact programs throughout the Greater Puget Sound. Through the generous support of community members large and small, the 2015 award pool has grown to an unprecedented $400,000 for this year's finalists.
Finalists have been selected through a rigorous five-month application and competition process for the best socially innovative programs in the following tracks: high school, college, start-up for-profit, early stage nonprofit and established nonprofit.
