CANBERA (dpa-AFX) - Australia will on Wednesday release Q3 numbers for consumer prices, highlighting a light day in Asia-Pacific economic activity.
Inflation is expected to add 0.7 percent on quarter and 1.7 percent on year after gaining 0.7 percent on quarter and 1.5 percent on year in the three months prior.
The RBA's trimmed mean is expected to add 0.5 percent on quarter and 2.4 percent on year, while the weighted median is tipped to gain 0.5 percent on quarter and 2.5 percent on year.
Japan will release September figures for retail sales, which are tipped to add 0.4 percent on year and 1.1 percent on month. That follows the 0.8 percent yearly increase and the flat monthly reading in August. Large retailer sales are expected to climb an annual 1.4 percent, slowing from 1.8 percent in the previous month.
