CANBERA (dpa-AFX) - Australia will on Friday release October figures for retail sales, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
Retail sales are expected to hold steady at a seasonally adjusted 0.4 percent on month.
New Zealand will see commodity price data for November; in October, prices were up 6.9 percent on year.
Japan will provide October data for labor cash earnings, with forecasts suggesting an increase of 0.4 percent on year - steady from the previous month.
Japan also will see November results for its consumer confidence index, with forecasts suggesting a score of 41.7 - up marginally from 41.5 in October.
Malaysia will release October numbers for imports, exports and trade balance. Imports are expected to fall 3.2 percent on year after rising 9.6 percent in September. Exports are called higher by 8.5 percent after gaining 8.8 percent in the previous month. The trade balance is tipped to show a surplus of 9 billion ringgit, down from 9.69 billion a month earlier.
